Make your own maple syrup

The Goodwin Forest Conservation Education Center in Hampton will offer a three-part course on becoming a maple sugarmaker. Class dates are Wednesday, Nov. 28, from 7 to 9:15 p.m.; Wednesday, Dec. 5, from 7 to 9:15 p.m.; and Saturday, Dec. 8, from 9 to 11:30 a.m.

This eight-hour course will cover care of maple trees, sap collection and storage, and methods of making and packaging syrup. The $40 registration fee includes all sessions and a copy of the North American Maple Syrup Producers Manual.
