Paul and Patricia White of Waterford, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kerri White, to Daniel Hemmer, son of Mary Anne Steiner of Branchburg, N.J. and Dr. Thomas Hemmer of Port Matilda, Pa.

Kerri, a 2003 graduate of St. Bernard High School, earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Villanova University in 2007. She is currently employed as a critical care nurse at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, Colo.

Daniel, a 2001 graduate of AFNORTH International School in the Netherlands, earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Villanova University in 2005. He is a captain in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs. Daniel is currently serving in Afghanistan.

A June 2013 wedding is planned in Stonington.
