Basic Sub School graduates 90

Groton - Ninety sailors of "Class 12500," USS Nautilus (SSN-571), graduated from Basic Enlisted Submarine School on Nov. 16.

Seaman Recruit Randy Hartzell, the class honorman, was meritoriously advanced. Seaman Zachary Brailer received the Navy Core Values Award and Seaman Raymond Plesnarski, the class leader, received the Heritage Award.

Seaman Recruit William Hart, Seaman Jason Weddell, Seaman Apprentice Kelly O'Reilly, Gas Turbine System Electric Petty Officer Second Class Brandon Smith, Master at Arms Second Class Michael McMillan, Seaman Apprentice Darren Hess, Seaman Joseph Paru, Seaman Apprentice Matthew Tipton, Seaman Recruit Jonathan Thomas, Seaman Chase Turner, Seaman Jordan Stip, Seaman Recruit Brandon Montgomery, Seaman Apprentice Joseph Guitierrez, Seaman Recruit Adan Turcios, Seaman Daniel Lapointe, Seaman James Tilton, Seaman Apprentice Nathaniel Marquezarroyo, Seaman Apprentice Christopher Giardina, Aviation Electronics Technician Second Class Janarris Respress, Seaman Apprentice Aubrey Herrington, Seaman Victor Lopez, Hull Technician First Class Jesse Wright, Sonar Technician Surface Second Class Paul Ciscernos, Aviation Electrician's Mate Second Class Michael Tyrone, Seaman Apprentice Lonnie Jones, Seaman Apprentice Richard Rodriguez, Seaman Jarrod Pope, Fireman Jonathan Cecil, Fireman Neil Oda and Fireman Scott Beard were named graduates with distinction.
