Mr. Fischer appears dedicated to liberalism

Jerome Fischer's Nov. 10 guest commentary, "How come you Jews supported Obama?"rationalized his deep commitment to liberalism and the Democratic Party.

He has traded Judaism for a secularism that has infected the left with an anti-Israeli bias. He has failed to recognize, however, where his interests and ideals as a Jew and as an American truly lie.

Liberal Jews seem to be more passionate about abortion rights and government-run health care than preventing Iran, Israel's sworn enemy, from obtaining a nuclear weapon.

Mr. Fischer should ponder whether his Torah is Jewish law or the Torah of liberalism.
