El 'n' Gee hosts punk show
While not strictly correct in an actuarial sense, Thanksgiving weekend traditionally represents the segue between autumn and winter - aided, no doubt, by the impatience of retailers to start inhaling consumers' holiday cash!
Punk rockers, though, have a more strict sense of calendar - at least at New London's El 'n' Gee Club. On Saturday, only 24 greedy hours removed from Black Friday, the Fall Punk Fest takes place. Indeed, a sonic onslaught of volume and attitude will regurgitate across the El 'n' Gee stage like a centerpiece cornucopia on Martha Stewart's Turkey Day table.
Included on the bill are Pennsylvania bands Combat Crisis and the Wasted and Connecticut faves Sadplant, Theater Zombies, Damn Broads, Shot in the Head and Pickpocket. Also, the Red Line Rebels from Massachusetts and Rhody acts Reason to Fight and Trans Fat.
