Groton — The U.S. Submarine Veterans Groton Base has planned several upcoming events.

The base will host a Thanksgiving Volunteer/Sponsor Reception Nov. 29 at 6 p.m. Sponsors and volunteers who supported the Thanksgiving celebration are invited.

The monthly Steak N’ Eggs Brunch will be held Dec. 2. Regular brunches are served on the remaining Sundays of the month, 10 a.m. to noon.

The monthly membership meeting for all members and anyone interested in joining will be held Dec. 3, 6:30 p.m., at the clubhouse, 40 School St. Subvets will host a Submarine Group Two Sailor of the Year Reception Dec. 4, 6 p.m., at the clubhouse.

A brief remembrance ceremony will be held Dec. 7, Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, at 1:45 p.m. at the U.S. Subvets WWII National Submarine Memorial East.

The annual Christmas party is Dec. 9, 4 p.m., at the clubhouse. The cost is $5 per person and guests are asked to bring an unwrapped toy as a donation for Toys for Tots. The annual children’s Christmas party is Dec. 15, noon to 2 p.m. There is no charge. The clubhouse will be closed on Christmas.

Subvets WWII will meet for its monthly social and lunch Dec. 11, 10:30 a.m., at the clubhouse and the Holland Club will meet for its monthly luncheon Dec. 18, 11:30 a.m., at the clubhouse. The leadership of Submarine Squadron Four is tentatively scheduled to attend Dec. 18.
