    Fishman-Thomas

    Marget Courtney Thomas and Seth Aaron Shai Fishman exchanged wedding vows in a moving ceremony written by the couple on July 15, 2012, at the Pergola of the Eolia Mansion at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford. The ceremony included readings of letters the groom's grandparents wrote to each other during World War II and blessings from several of their family and friends. Justice of the Peace, Dr. Ken Koe officiated, with a wedding address delivered by Captain Robert Ayer.

    Marget is a daughter of John and Jean Thomas of Gales Ferry. Natalie Thomas, sister of the bride, and Mary Malabanan-Cross, friend of the bride, were ladies of honor. Bridesmaids were Maya Fishman, sister of the groom, Emily Ayer, fiancee of the bride's brother, and Kristin Dunn, Sarah Mandel, Katrina Kelly, and Larissa Kravanja, friends of the bride. Lauren Harvey, the bride's first cousin once removed, was the flower girl.

    Seth is the son of Sherry Fishman-Carroll of Austin, Texas and Noah Fishman of Midland, Texas, and stepson of Reese Carroll and Lyn Fishman. Ryan Duffey and Michael Amiet, friends of the groom, were best men. John Thomas, brother of the bride, Daniel Fishman, brother of the groom, and Jay Katsir, Cameron Chisholm, Alain Chicoine and Joe Dunthorne, friends of the groom, were groomsmen. The groom's nephews, Jonas and Lucas Witkowsk, served as ring bearers.

    A reception was held at Eolia, the mansion at Harkness.

    The bride is a 2004 graduate of Boston College. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in clinical psychology at Rutgers University. The groom is a 2004 graduate of Princeton University. He received a master's of fine arts in creative writing at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England, in 2005. He is a literary agent with The Gernert Company in Manhattan and a fiction writer. His debut novel, "The Well's End", will be published in 2013 by Penguin Putnam.

    The couple honeymooned in Bali. They currently reside in Jersey City, N.J.
