Storrs - UConn plays its second top 10 opponent this week when the 10th-ranked Penn State women's basketball team visits Gampel Pavilion tonight to face the No. 2 Huskies (7 p.m., SNY).

UConn (7-0) is fresh off physical 63-48 win over No. 9 Maryland on Monday at the XL Center in Hartford. The Lady Lions (6-1) will be the fourth top 25 opponent the Huskies have faced early in the season.

UConn leads the all-time series against Penn State 7-3, including a 77-59 victory over the Lady Lions in last year's NCAA tournament regional semifinals in Kingston, R.I. After losing the first three times, UConn has beaten Penn State seven straight.

The Huskies may be shorthanded tonight. Sophomore forward Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis, who is averaging 14.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per-game, suffered a left quad injury during the win over Maryland, and coach Geno Auriemma will make a game-time decision.

If Mosqueda-Lewis can't play, Auriemma will likely start 6-foot-2 freshman Morgan Tuck in her place.

Another freshman, 6-4 forward Breanna Stewart, leads the Huskies in scoring (16.3) and rebounds (6.4) and will be joined in the starting lineup by senior guard Kelly Faris (9.7 points), sophomore guard Bria Hartley (7.4), junior center Stefanie Dolson (13.1) and either Mosqueda-Lewis or Tuck.

Guards Caroline Doty, Brianna Banks and Moriah Jefferson are the top players off the bench.

Following tonight's game, UConn begins a nearly two-week exam break and won't play again until hosting Oakland (Mich.) on Dec. 19 in Hartford.

The UConn Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will host its annual Holiday Toy Drive tonight and during the men's game against Harvard on Friday.

Fans can bring new toys to the North, South and East entrances of Gampel Pavilion each night, where all donated items will be collected by the women's lacrosse team (tonight) and the women's rowing team (Friday).

The toys will be distributed to the Salvation Army in Willimantic and the Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford.
