It’s eagle season on the river

Connecticut Audubon Society EcoTravel sponsors numerous boats to search for birds wintering along the Connecticut River, including bald eagles, from Saturday, Feb. 9, through Sunday, March 17, leaving from Haddam.

Naturalists will assist in identification and talk about the local history and natural history. The cost is $40. Holiday gift certificates are available. Boats depart on Thursdays at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays at 9 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 2 p.m. Reservations are required.
