U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal is joining the U.S. Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs as part of the new Senate committee assignments.
Blumenthal, D-Conn., will also join the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation and continue to sit on the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, Senate Committee on Armed Services and the Senate Special Committee on Aging. Blumenthal is no longer a member of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions.
"These committee assignments will allow me to redouble my efforts on behalf of Connecticut's veterans and consumers," Blumenthal said.
