The Crystal Mall in Waterford is hosting Snowflakes for Sandy Hook from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Members of Connecticut's Parent Teacher Student Association are requesting homemade snowflakes for students of Sandy Hook Elementary School so that the students can walk into a winter wonderland as they return to school in Monroe in January. These paper snowflake decorations will be hung inside the new school and in each classroom. Crystal Mall will have tables setup for shoppers to create and decorate paper snowflakes. Mall management will deliver the snowflakes to the elementary school in Monroe. Donations also will be collected on behalf of the Newtown family victims. Snowflakes for Sandy Hook will be held in the Old Navy Court.
