Call the Republicans' bluff on debt limit

Congress authorizes the programs the country embarks on. The president implements the programs. The electorate has found the president has done an acceptable job. The president should unilaterally raise the debt limit as required and see if the Republicans will send us into default.
I don't think they are that crazy.
