    Two classes graduate from the Naval Submarine School

    Groton — Two classes graduated from the Naval Submarine School on Jan. 11.

    Eighty-three sailors, “Class 13060,” USS Skip Jack (SSN-585), graduated from Basic Enlisted Submarine School.

    Seaman Apprentice Guillermo Villarreal, the class honorman, was meritoriously advanced. Seaman Noel Runyon received the Navy Core Values Award. Seaman David Williams, the class leader, received the Heritage Award.

    Runyon, Fire Apprentice Benjamin Renfro, Fireman Recruit Braden Anton, Seaman Alexander Meaux, Seaman John Shackleford, Machinist Mate Third Class Michael Lamprecht, Fireman Recruit Ryan McKenney, Seaman Apprentice William Smartwood, Seaman Recruit Jared Brooks, Seaman Recruit Shawn White, Seaman Recruit Joshua Chandler, Seaman Apprentice Sean Blaine and Seaman Apprentice Steven McSperrin were graduates with distinction.

    Nine sailors of “Class 13010” graduated from Machinist Mate (Weapons) ‘A’ School. Fireman Jacob Young, the class honorman, received the Torpedoman Plaque and was meritoriously advanced.
