Stonington — No one was injured late this afternoon in a four-car accident on Pequot Trail that closed the road between Farmholme and South Anguilla roads for about an hour as police investigated and road crews sanded the slippery pavement. The incident occurred about 4:45 p.m.
Police said that one car had rolled over and when other approaching cars stopped they were struck from behind by other cars at slow speeds.
The accident was just one of numerous minor crashes that occurred across the region tonight because of slick roads.
