UConn junior Shabazz Napier continues to receive treatment for his sore left shoulder.
Napier was held out of practice on Sunday. The Huskies had both Monday and Tuesday off.
Team trainer James Doran expects that an improving Napier will be ready to practice on Wednesday, according to an update from UConn.
Napier, a starting guard and leading scorer, suffered the injury in a loss to Louisville on Jan. 14. He was a game-time decision to play at Pittsburgh on Saturday.
A limited Napier struggled against Pitt, finishing with eight points, three rebounds, two assists and two turnovers in 34 mniutes in a 69-61 loss.
UConn is off until Sunday afternoon when it hosts Rutgers at the XL Center in Hartford. Napier is expected to play.
The Huskies are looking to break their first two-game losing streak this season.
