Manager Andrew Graham and hitting coach Mike Rabelo will return to lead the Connecticut Tigers in 2013, the club announced Monday.
The Tigers, the Detroit Tigers' short-season Class A affiliate in the New York-Penn League, will have a new pitching coach in Mark Johnson, who spent the last five seasons with the West Michigan Whitecaps, Detroit's Class A Midwest League affiliate.
This will be the third straight season Graham and Rabelo will lead the Tigers, who play their home games at Dodd Stadium in Norwich. Connecticut was 35-40 in 2012.
The Tigers open their 2013 season at home on Monday, June 17, against the Lowell Spinners, a Red Sox affiliate. They will also play host to this year's New York-Penn League All-Star Game on Tuesday, Aug. 13. Tickets for the game, as well as season ticket and mini-plans, are on sale now. The box office at Dodd Stadium is open weekdays from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. or by calling (860) 887-7962.
