Threat of snow forces some schools to move games from Friday to Thursday

The threat of a winter storm Friday has resulted in a number of local high school sports events scheduled for that day to be moved to Thursday.

Following is a list of games moved to Thursday:

Boys' basketball - Hyde of New Haven at Old Lyme, 5 p.m.; Windham at Waterford, 5:30 p.m.; Killingly at Ledyard, 7 p.m.; East Lyme at Fitch, 7 p.m.

Girls' basketball - Hyde at Old Lyme, 3:30 p.m.; Waterford at Windham, 5:30 p.m; Fitch at East Lyme, 7 p.m.; Ledyard at Killingly, 7 p.m.; Wheeler at Plainfield, 7 p.m.

Swimming - East Lyme at Ledyard-Stonington (Avery Point), 7:30 p.m.
