It's never too early to start an art career.

Or, at the very least, to have fun with art.

A gaggle of youthful artists will show off their creations at the annual Hygienic Young Artists Exhibition.

Here's how it works, for budding painters or sketchers or sculptors: They can drop off their work any time between 4 and 7 p.m. today and Friday at The Garde Gallery. The exhibition opens Saturday, with performances and arts activities from noon to 4 p.m.

It then remains up through Feb. 2. (Kids should pick up their pieces between noon and 4 p.m. Feb. 3.)

Hygienic Young Artists Exhibition, Saturday through Feb. 2, The Garde Gallery, 305 State St., New London; reception noon-4 p.m. Saturday; free.
