Police investigate shooting of cows in North Stonington

North Stonington -- The town's resident state troopers are investigating the shooting of two cows earlier this month in a field on Pendleton Hill Road.
According to a press release fron Resident State Trooper Timothy Donahue, the cows, owned by the Palmer Farm on East Clark Falls Road, were shot sometime during the weekend of Jan. 19-20. Police said a veterinarian treated the animals, and that one cow is expected to be euthanized.
