The Day had a front-page story, "Huge rally in D.C. for gun control," (Jan. 27) along with a photo of the gun control rally held in Washington, D.C. on Saturday that "thousands" attended.

While I think that this is newsworthy and certainly timely, compare it to the coverage given to the March for Life in D.C. the day before. No story, just a picture, "40 Years after Roe v. Wade," (Jan. 26), ran on page four. Actually, more than half a million pro-life people participated in the 2013 March for Life, marching for the more than 55 million babies that have been slaughtered since Roe v. Wade.

Every year since 1974, the year after Roe v. Wade was passed, hundreds of thousands of Americans have shown up in Washington during the coldest week of the year to show their support for the unborn. I can think of no other issue which draws so many people from the comfort of their homes on an annual basis.

Yet there is a media blackout of this on the major networks and in the newspapers. I challenge The Day to send a reporter to cover the March for Life next January. Maybe then I could begin to believe that this newspaper is interested in reporting all the news and not just the news that fits its political agenda.
