Exploring the repertoire: Over several seasons and 23 concerts, co-directors/pianists Gary Chapman and Laura Hibbard have always done a terrific job of fusing composers and works into nuanced and thematic programs that simultaneously feature favorites and more obscure material.
What's up this week? Brahms: Sonata for Violin in A Major, Op. 100 and Sonata for Violin and Piano in D Minor, Op. 108; Amram: Piano Sonata as well as Native American Portraits; Debussy: Violin Sonata.
Sparkling guests: Violinists Charles Sherba and Whitney LaGrange and percussionist Valerie Smalley.
Snacks and conversation! A reception with light refreshments follows.
