Brewery throws anniversary party

Cottrell Brewery is hosting a "Sweet Sixteen" open house from 3-6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, to celebrate 16 years of making craft beers.

Dans All Night will provide the music. Snacks made with Cottrell beers by Stonington bakery Zest and Cottrell beers and cask-conditioned ale samples will be available. A raffle, benefiting the Neighborhood Pawcatuck Center, will be held. Prizes include T-shirts, pint glasses and a lunch with Cottrell brewers for five and an exclusive preview of Cottrell's next beer.

The brewery, at 100 Mechanic St., produces Old Yankee Ale, Mystic Bridge IPA and seasonal beers. For more information go to www.cottrellbrewing.com or call (860) 599-8213.
