Since the Newtown massacre we have had many letters to the editor quote only part of the Second Amendment of the Constitution. The amendment reads, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Since the National Guard is our official well regulated militia, I suggest all those who want to play with assault or automatic weapons join one of the Guard's infantry units. You will get to play with your toys, serve your country and get paid for it too. Leave the automatic weapons to our well trained military personnel.
