String Theory School of Music of Niantic presents "Aunt Hattie's House," a one-woman show written and performed by Emma Palzere-Rae on Sunday, Feb. 17, at 2 p.m.

"Aunt Hattie's House," set in 1865, brings Harriet Beecher Stowe to life at the height of her fame. The play explores what compelled Stowe to write "Uncle Tom's Cabin."

This performance marks the start of a partnership between String Theory and Be Well Productions, producer of "Aunt Hattie's House." To expand its offerings, String Theory School of Music will begin offering acting coaching, audition technique and monologue work with Palzere-Rae.

String Theory is at 11 Freedom Way, Suite D3-D4, Niantic. Suggested donation is $8 and $5 for students. For more information, call (860) 691-8022.
