Daughtry in concert at Mohegan Sun
I blame the Devil.
I'd just started writing a bet about the band Daughtry - who of course automatically trigger associations with Nickelback and Creed; that's just the way it is. In toto, they comprise a musical trifecta I call Headache.
THEN ... for reasons that remain unknown, a friend and colleague, who covers New London for The Day and sits directly behind me in the newsroom - and who shall remain nameless - started singing loud and a capella excerpts of songs from her childhood: the 1910 Fruitgum Company, the Statler Brothers and, ah, Jim Croce ... This was a trifecta called More Headache.
You will probably never hear this person sing, but you CAN experience Daughtry, still out on tour behind their 2011 "Break the Spell" album, and with 3 Doors Down and Aranda in tow, when they perform Sunday at the Mohegan Sun Arena.
