Treehouse Comedy hosts Funniest Comic in New England contest

Treehouse Comedy Productions is on the hunt for the funniest stand-up in New England, and you can watch as the group is winnowed down to that final winner.

This fifth annual competition - held over the next couple of weekends at Mohegan Sun's Cabaret Theatre - boasts 60 contestants, which were chosen from 200 stand-ups that auditioned. Of that 60, 40 are newcomers and 20 are in the pro division.

The finalists share more than $10,000 in cash and prizes.
