It takes a special breed of musician to stay committed to a hardcore/skate punk lifestyle after the age of, oh, 25 or so. It's at that point that the precise characteristics and interests of same start to wear off.
Godspeed to those noble warriors who will not let it go! Bands such as New York City's Murphy's Law - and, more specifically, the band's sole remaining original member, frontman Jimmy Gestapo. (Yes, that's his real name. His folks are Dale and Margie Gestapo.)
He formed Murphy's Law in 1982 and is still braying stridently all these years, tours, and dozen or so albums later. See Murphy's Law Saturday at the El 'n' Gee Club Saturday. Wisdom in Chains and Reason to Fight are among the other acts on the bill.
