Region’s busineses invited to Business Day in Hartford

Published February 24. 2013 4:00AM

The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut is encouraging any business owner, whether a chamber member or not, to attend the annual Connecticut Business Day March 6 in Hartford. There is no charge.

"This is an opportunity for business owners to make their voice heard in Hartford and we hope they will join us to exercise their rights," said Tony Sheridan, president & CEO, of the regional business organization. "I particularly encourage those businesses related to tourism to attend a special, 30-minute breakout session at 10:15 a.m."

The program, organized by the Connecticut Business & Industry Association, begins at 7:30 a.m. and continues until noon in the Legislative Office Building at the capitol.

It's Oscar Sunday. What are you most interested in watching?
I want to see if Ben Affleck hands it to the Oscar voters by winning Best Picture with Argo.
I want to see the Chastain vs. Lawrence faceoff in the Best Actress category.
I won't be tuning in. Meryl Streep isn't up for anything and I'm peeved our local Hope Springs wasn't recognized.
I'm still fuming about Kushner's Lincoln inaccuracies.
I'll be watching The Walking Dead instead.
