Washington Trust recently kicked off its 13th Annual Peanut Butter Drive at the company's employee fest, challenging employees to bring in peanut butter or donate online to the Rhode Island Food Bank. Employees donated 325 pounds of peanut butter and raised an additional $1,860 through online donations, enough for the Food Bank to buy 1,488 jars of peanut butter.
A jar of unopened peanut butter can be dropped off during March at any of Washington Trust's 18 branch locations. All jars will be sent to a local food pantry. Online donations can be made at www.rifoodbank.org/peanutbutter. All online donations go directly to the Rhode Island Food Bank. For more information visit www.peanutbutterbank.com.
