Norwich — Police charged two people on prostitution related charges tonight after they say an officer found them involved in “suspicious activities consistent with prostitution” in a vehicle on Corning Road.

Beth A. Sikorski, 44, of 251 Laurel Hill Avenue, Apt. 4, was charged with prostitution while Bruce Bernier, 49, of 15 Beach Lane, Oakdale, was charged with patronizing a prostitute from a motor vehicle.

Sikorski was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and Bernier a $1,500.00 non-surety bond. Both are scheduled to appear in Norwich Superior Court on March 28.

Police said the arrest were made about 6:25 p.m. by officers assigned to the city’s Greenville section who observed suspicious activities consistent with prostitution in the Central Avenue area.

Police urge citizens wishing to report suspicious activity in their neighborhood to call them at 860-886-5561 or the Anonymous Tip Line at 860-886-5561, Ext. 500.
