The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for northern New London County from 6 p.m. today through 10 a.m. Tuesday.
The weather service said that snow should be heading to the region by tonight’s evening commute. The snow will then mix with sleet and rain overnight before turning into all rain by Tuesday evening.
Snow and sleet accumulations could range between 3 to 6 inches.
The weather service has issued a winter weather advisory for shoreline towns also starting at 6 p.m. today. One to 3 inches of snow is expected.
