Pink: Singing and swinging from the ceiling at Mohegan Sun
The Hollywood Reporter had this to say about Pink's latest series of concerts: "With Lady Gaga sidelined with a bum hip, Pink's acrobatic-heavy 'Truth About Love' tour proves to be pop's biggest spectacle."
Pink brings that three-ring circus of rock to Mohegan Sun Wednesday, and she'll be spinning in the air with the Cirque-aerialist panache that she's developed. There will be back-up dancers and a master of ceremonies. There will be bungee cords and cool sets. There will be fun - and fun., in the video recording of lead singer Nate Ruess on the duet "Just Give Me a Reason."
This marks Pink's return to the showbiz world after having her daughter - and what a swinging-from-the-arena-ceiling return it is. The tour is in support of Pink's CD "The Truth About Love," released in September and debuting at #1 on the U.S. charts. It's since gone platinum.
By the way, if you're going to the concert Wednesday, get there early. Opening act? The Hives.
