    Funeral to be held in Guilford for fallen soldier

    Guilford (AP) — Family and friends of an Army captain from Connecticut who was killed in Afghanistan earlier this month will be gathering in Guilford for his funeral.Editor's note: This corrects earlier version of this article.)

    The service for Andrew Pedersen-Keel is set for 11 a.m. Monday at St. George Church on Whitfield Street. He'll be buried with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery on Wednesday.

    Pedersen-Keel was one of two soldiers killed in an attack at a police station in eastern Afghanistan on March 11. He was 28.

    He graduated from Avon Old Farms School in 2002 and his mother and stepfather live in madison. He went on to graduate from the U.S. Military Academy in 2006 and served two tours in Afghanistan. He was awarded two Bronze Stars and several other medals. (
