Groton Regional Theatre stages "Sealed for Freshness"

It's 1968, and a gaggle of women have met up - this being the late '60s and all - for a Tupperware party.

Since this happens in a stage comedy, you know that things will go spectacularly wrong.

In the case of "Sealed for Freshness," that means conflicts and revelation surface with theatrical flair. The crowd includes Diana, who is harboring a secret; Bonnie, who is struggling with a husband who likes stag films a bit too much; and Sinclair, who is hugely pregnant with child number five. Wrapped up in the specific storylines are explorations of marriage, motherhood, careers and dreams.

Groton Regional Theatre is staging the Doug Stone play this weekend and next at the Groton Senior Center. Vic Panciera directs a cast that includes Alex McCune, Christine Reynolds, Christine Shogren, Christine Wilbur, Katherine Maher, and Jim Moulding.
