Steven Wright's comedy is so distinctive that, for a while, one-liners attributed to him - but not actually by him - were popping up on the Internet.

Here are a few quirky observations that are, truly, by Wright:

"A lot of people are afraid of heights. Not me. I'm afraid of widths."

"I like to fill my tub up with water, then turn the shower on and act like I'm in a submarine that's been hit."

"I filled out an application that said, "In Case Of Emergency Notify ________". I wrote "Doctor"... What's my mother going to do?"

"Is it weird in here, or is it just me?"

If you like it when it gets weird, head to Foxwoods' Fox Theater on Saturday, where Wright will be telling his surreal-world jokes with his decidedly deadpan delivery.

Steven Wright, 8 p.m. Saturday, Fox Theater, Foxwoods Resort Casino; $30-$55; 1-800-200-2882.
