I read and re-read, "Health Can be a Laughing Matter," (April 9), on health and laughter.

My mom used to say, "Laughter is good for the soul." She was so right. If I allow myself to get down in the doldrums there goes my day. And it is my fault.

Somewhere, previously, I've allowed that weak link that is within us all to surface and I'm suffering the results. That said, I will confirm that laughter and good health can, and should be a "laughing matter."
