The Avery-Copp Museum will hold a spring gala from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 17, at the Mystic Arts Center. The evening will include a wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres, an oyster bar and live music.

There will be a silent auction with items including getaways, jewelry, original art, pottery, restaurants, golf packages and boat cruises. Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. To purchase tickets, call (860) 445-1637.
