Salem — Traffic is moving again on Route 82 after a car hit and knocked down an utility pole early this morning.

The roadway east of the Salem Four Corners on Route 82 to Harris Road was closed as emergency personnel cleared the scene.

A school bus carrying high school students turned onto Clark Lane in an effort to avoid the traffic congestion, but struck a stonewall, a fire official said. Students were subsequently loaded onto another bus.

No injuries were reported in either accident. The accident was reported around 7:00 a.m.

Superintendent of Schools Joseph Onofrio II could not be reached for comment.

Should the Guantanamo prison be closed?
No. I believe that information from detainees has saved American lives.
Yes. Pres. Obama said this week that the prison is contrary to who we are and I agree.
No. Keeping the prison running means there are fewer people out there who want to harm Americans and our allies.
What's the wait? Pres. Bush announced he wanted to close it. Obama campaigned on the issue. Why hasn't it happened yet?
I don't know. All of these choices are black and white and don't represent how I feel.
