Misquamicut Springfest is always a cause for celebration, and post-Sandy, it is even more so.

The fun happens this weekend, and it would be shorter to mention what the jam-packed festival doesn't include than what it does.

The musical highlights are performances by John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band, Marty Balin formerly of Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship, and blues legend Coco Montoya.

Part of the fest, too, are the new Blues, BBQ and Beer tent, a carnival, classic car shows, a BMX stunt show, fireworks on Friday night, and lots more. It's sponsored by The Misquamicut Business Association.
