You're invited to the Ska Prom
The whole idea of a prom is pretty overwhelming, actually. It's a lot of work, is what it is. Plus, from a male perspective, what if the person you've dreamed of as a date turns you down? Then you've rented a powder blue tux for nothing!
However, Ska Prom '13, taking place Sunday at the German Club in Mystic, is the latest in an annual presentation of local ska acts in a mock-prom atmosphere. Methinks this is a fine and lively idea. Consider this excellent lineup: Llama Tsunami, The Waffle Stompers, Short Handed Goal, A Guy Named Guy, Threat Level Burgundy, and Mr. Furious.
