What up with this "middle-class" category? High-income people are not called, "high class," lower income people are not called, "lower class." Why then are "we" called middle class?

We should be called, "middle income."

I know some lower-class people who make a high income - like our politicians, but I won't go there.

I feel it is time for middle-income people to demand to be called middle income instead of middle class.
