The Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center presents "Ramp It Up: Skateboard Culture in Native America," in the Mashantucket Gallery through July 20. The exhibit reveals the underground world of skateboarding in Indian country and highlights the Native American skateboarding culture of the West Coast.
Originally on view at the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian, "Ramp It Up" features several native-designed decks and graffiti-backdrop panels by Native American artist Jak Fragua, along with archival photos.
The exhibition is free with museum admission and free to museum members.
