Dock & Dine plans June reopening

The landmark Dock & Dine restaurant in Old Saybrook announced Wednesday a target date of June 21 for its reopening following extensive damage sustained last fall during Hurricane Sandy.

General manager Mari Kodama said the seaside restaurant will be opening with a special permit allowing it to operate temporarily for the summer. In the fall, the building will be knocked down and a new structure higher above the water will be erected.

The restaurant will operate with more outdoor seating than in the past, while indoor dining will be limited. For updates, check the Dock & Dine Facebook page.
