Cicadas emerge in Hamden

After 17 years underground, Cicadas are emerging in the Magicicada Preserve in Hamden to molt, mate, lay eggs and die. Entomologists from the Peabody Museum of Natural History at Yale University took us to a 90-acre preserve, owned by the South Central Connecticut Water Co., where the noisy bugs act out the end, and new beginning, of their life cycle.
