Published June 28. 2013 4:00AM

Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation - Crossings East & West have been accredited for 2013 as skilled nursing facilities actively performing quality assurance and performance improvement activities, the facility announced Wednesday.

The nursing homes are located at 78 and 79 Viets St. The accreditation review was conducted by Providigm, an independent firm, and demonstrates that the facilities regularly assess residents' quality of life with regard to pain, dignity, respect for resident choice, and quality of care problems, the facility said in a news release.

Troy Guntulis, area executive director of Kindred Crossings, said the facility is proud of the accreditation.
