Navy diver McQuillian earns Bronze Star

Groton - Capt. David Roberts, commanding officer of the Naval Submarine School, presented Navy Diver Second Class (Diving Salvage Warfare) Daniel McQuillian with a Bronze Star on Thursday, June 27.

McQuillian received the award for "meritorious service in connection with a highly sensitive special operation critical to the national defense of the United States" while assigned to the Naval Special Warfare Command. McQuillian is now an instructor at the school's Submarine Escape Trainer.
