Norwich police plan sobriety checkpoint

Norwich - The Norwich Police Department will join the nationwide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign this week in an effort to reduce impaired-driving related fatalities.

Police said their efforts will include sobriety checkpoints as well as saturation patrols. The sobriety checkpoint will occur between the hours of 5 p.m. Wednesday and 4 a.m. Thursday.
