    Lt. Cyr assumes command of Coast Guard Cutter Anacapa

    Griswold — Lt. Kathryn R. Cyr, a Jewett City native, relieved Lt. Cmdr. Ruben E. Boudreaux as the commanding officer of the Coast Guard Cutter Anacapa in Petersburg, Alaska on Monday, July 1.

    Cyr previously served as the operations officer aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Dependable in Cape May, N.J. She has also worked as the intelligence collection manager for the Coast Guard 17th District in Juneau, Alaska and as a deck watch officer on the Coast Guard Cutter Reliance in Portsmouth, N.H.

    Cyr, the daughter of Ted and Stephanie Cyr, graduated from Griswold High School in 2002. She is married to Lee Coyle and they have one child, Gilbert, 3. Cyr and Coyle graduated from the Coast Guard Academy in 2006.
