‘Pathways’ to art in Essex

Published July 23. 2013 4:00AM

The concept of “Pathways” can summon all sorts of images to mind — from literal to metaphysical. Which is probably why “Pathways” was chosen as the motif for the final juried show of the season at the Essex Art Association. The possibilities are limitless. Featured in the exhibition, which will open Friday with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m., is artist Catherine Puccio and her “Everything AND the Kitchen Sink” presentation (see “Sunbather” above). As well, 80 other pieces have been selected from more than 200 submissions. Through Aug. 17. Essex Art Association, 10 North Main St., Essex. Hours 1-5 p.m. Wed.-Mon.; (860) 767-8996, essexartassociation.com.
