View from a World War II bomber

The WWII era B-17 bomber "Memphis Belle" flies over Hartford Monday on a flight to showcase the aircraft to local media. The aircraft, a post-war model restored to the appearance of the famous World War II Flying Fortress that was the first to complete 25 combat missions over Europe, will be open for tours and flights this weekend at Hartford-Brainard Airport in Hartford. The nonprofit Liberty Foundation operates the plane to "honor our veterans, educate current and future generations as to the high price of freedom and to preserve our aviation heritage," according to the organization's website.
